Our Experience at InsureTech Connect 2017, Las Vegas

InsureTech Connect 2017 (ITC 2017). Las Vegas was touted as the biggest and most comprehensive insurance + technology event of the year across the globe and it was!

With over 3800 attendees registered for the event, a few had to cancel their plans due to the unfortunate and mindless massacre that occurred on Sunday, Oct 1, 2017. However, the event organizers and most attendees decided to go ahead undaunted.

Hosted in the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino, ITC 2017, was one the largest gathering of insurers and technology players from across the world in one place.  Aureus had its own kiosk to demonstrate analytics use cases for insurance using CRUX.

Three aspects of ITC 2017 made it an event worthy of every penny spent:

  1. One to One Meetings
  2. Plenary Sessions
  3. Exhibitions

Each attendee was invited to network with others 3 weeks prior to the event using the Brella app. This ensured that we knew how our schedules would look like way in advance. The plenaries were well designed, but unfortunately, we could not attend a single one, thanks to the aforementioned meetings.

The Exhibits, however, were the most interesting aspect of the event. With startups and established tech vendors all geared up to show the best that they had to offer, it was a smorgasbord of interesting ideas, developments and a very real peek into what the future holds.

Needless to say, a lot of planning went into making sure the product demos executed as well as they were planned.  Here are some photos of all the hard work that went into making this a successful event for Aureus.

One exhibitor had a cool Back to the Future scale down model. Quite apt, if you think about it.
